We’ve all been there – rushing from work to evening plans, hoping our morning makeup will survive the day. But let’s face it, it rarely does.

By the time the sun sets, you may find yourself dealing with patchy foundation, mascara fallout, and faded lipstick.

But don’t worry – with our day to night makeup touch-ups, you’ll be party ready in no time.

How to Change Your Makeup from Day to Night

Transforming your makeup from day to night doesn’t have to be a hassle. With a few simple tweaks, you can take your look from desk to drinks in minutes.

Here’s how you could refresh your makeup without taking it all off:

Refresh Your Foundation

By the end of the day, it’s normal for your foundation to get a bit patchy, especially if you’ve been busy or have spent hours sitting in an office with AC.

If your skin tends to get shiny, start with a quick blot to help remove excess oil. We recommend having a pack of blotting papers in your bag - they’re a must-have and perfect if you’re on the go.

Next, spritz a face mist or setting spray all over your face, to moisten the skin, then gently blend your existing foundation with a beauty blender for a smooth finish. This way, you could avoid piling on extra layers and risking cakey makeup.

Finally, dust some setting powder over your T-zone, chin, and nose. Using a powder puff could give you a matte finish, but if you want something lighter, we recommend using a fluffy brush.

Top Up Your Blush and Bronzer

After freshening up your base, your blush and bronzer might have faded, but a quick top-up will restore some colour to your cheeks.

If you’re out and about, cream products are a great option because you could easily use your finger to blend them into your skin. However, if you prefer powdered products, consider keeping a small, fluffy brush handy for touch-ups.

Dial Up Your Eye Makeup

Sprucing up your eyes may one of the best ways to elevate your makeup from day to night.

Start your day with a light mascara, then layer on a volumising one before heading out. This could help to avoid clumps while enhancing your eyes.

However, if your mascara has already clumped, start by using a spoolie to separate your lashes.

For smudges, a cotton bud dipped in makeup remover works wonders.

Finish with a few dots of concealer under your eyes to brighten your look back up.

Redo Your Lipstick

Lipstick is a quick and easy way to add a pop of colour and add a little evening glam to your makeup.

Go bold with a statement shade, like red, to amp it up a notch. But if you’ve already dialled up your eye makeup, a neutral lip could be best to let your eyes take centre stage.

Add Some Sparkle

Highlighter could instantly add that fresh, radiant feel that your makeup may have lost throughout the day.

Consider using a liquid highlighter for a dewy, skin-like finish. For a more dramatic look, a powdered highlighter may be the better option

Apply it to your cheekbones, brow bone, and the bridge of your nose for a glowy result.

There you have it!
