Which one woman inspires you the most?
“I wouldn’t say one person inspires me. I’d say it was anyone who is sincerely working to exceed expectations and defies what they think is possible and improves their own life and the lives of others as well.”
What’s the best piece of beauty advice your mother gave you?
“My mother was a bit quirky. She really taught me that quirky is good but she also empowered me with this notion that I could be beautiful no matter what I actually looked like, if I worked at it could be beautiful and that made me feel beautiful. It made me feel as if beauty was in my own power to make myself look like I wanted to look.”
What skincare advice would you give to your younger self?
“It’s kind of following on from what my mother said, it’s just to work at it. You have to cleanse your skin, and no matter how tired you are or no matter how much fun you had the night before you have to take your makeup off and put on moisturiser and care for yourself. It’s as good for your emotional self as it is for your physical self.”
What’s your top tip for feeling confident?
“It’s really quite simple. It’s to have a clear head, to be healthy, to be organised and to have some fun. That’s my advice for being in the right frame of mind.”
What’s the best piece of career advice you would give?
“Is when you’re young, have a bit of a plan, have a plan for what excites you, what inspires you and what keeps you motivated but also have the confidence to change that plan. If something presents itself to you that is out of left field, just go for it.
